스트레스를 받았기 때문에 쇼핑하면서 기분을 풀고 싶어요.

I want to let off steam while shopping because I am stressed out.

I want to give her a memorable gift, and I’m wondering what would be good.

 

대한민국 여행이 정말 즐거웠어요. 오랫동안 기억에 남을 거예요. 

I really enjoyed my trip to Korea. It will stay with me as a memorable experience for a long time.

결혼하기에 너무 일러요. It is too early to getting married.

편의점이 있어서 음식을 사 먹기에 편리한 것 같아요. 

I think it is convenient to buy and eat food because there is a convenient store. 

 

어디가 살기에 괜찮아요? What place is good to live?

 

온라인 수업을 듣는 것은 공부하기에 좋은 방법이에요.

Taking online classes is a good way to study.

위주로 Mainly

흥미 위주로 공부를 하고 싶어요. I want to study based on my interests.

 

제가 많이 이용하는 제품의 회사 주식 위주로 사요.

I mainly buy stocks in companies whose products I use a lot.

• …기 위해(서) is NOT applicable within a sentence that has one of the following verbs: 가다, 오다, 나가다, 나오다

I need to study Korean before going to Korea.

         

공부하기 전에 잠깐 쉬었어요. I took a rest for a moment before studying. 

 

먹기 전에 손을 씻어야 해요. I need to wash my hands before eating. 

 

버스를 타기 전에 바나나 우유 두개를 샀어요. 

I bought two banana milk before taking the bus.

 

 

…기 직전에 right before…

Antonym) …ㄴ 직후에 after …ing

 

그녀를 만나기 직전에 꽃을 샀어요. I bought flowers right before meeting her.

 

식사하기 직전에 손을 씻었어요. I washed my hands right before the meal.
